Day 1: Cusco – Chinchero – Moray – Maras – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
- Hotel pick-up and departure to Chinchero to see its agricultural terraces and traditional weaving workshops.
- Visit to Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory where microclimates were tested.
- Tour of the Maras Salt Mines, with more than 4,000 salt pools still in use.
- Stop in Urubamba for a buffet lunch with views of the Andes.
- Visit to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, a famous Inca stone fortress.
- Train ride to Aguas Calientes and meeting with the guide to coordinate the visit to Machu Picchu. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
- Bus up to the citadel of Machu Picchu for a guided visit of about 2.5 hours.
- Tour of the main temples, terraces, plazas and viewpoints of the sanctuary.
- Free time to explore on your own or climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (advance booking required).
- Bus back to Aguas Calientes, lunch on your own and train back to Ollantaytambo.
- Final transfer to Cusco, arriving at about 6:30 p.m.
Day 3: Cusco – Rainbow Mountain – Red Valley – Cusco
- Pick-up in Cusco: Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. we pick you up from your hotel in private transport.
- Breakfast in Cusipata: A short stop in the welcoming town of Cusipata for a typical local breakfast.
- Hike in the Red Valley: A hike of 1.5 to 2 hours through Andean landscapes, admiring the intense reddish colors of the Red Valley.
- Rainbow Mountain view: From a panoramic viewpoint you can admire the 7-Color Mountain (Vinicunca) and its spectacular surroundings.
- Descent and lunch: We walk back to the starting point and enjoy a buffet lunch.
- Return to Cusco: Arrival in Cusco between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
